SEOUL--(Korea Newswire)--Citibank Korea, Inc. (CEO Ha Young Ku, www.citibank.co.kr) announced that it will offer a special interest rate of annual 3.59% for newlyweds from May 1 to June 30.

By the end of June, any newly married couples who take mortgage (product name: Citi Mixed Rate Mortgage) will enjoy annual 3.59% interest rate (as of May 1, 2013; fixed rate for first 3 years, floating rates afterwards) which is a similar level with National Housing Fund Loan for those who buy a house for the first time in life.

CKI Officer said, “Many newlyweds have failed to meet requirements for National Housing Fund Loan, such as income, housing area, price and loan amount. CKI’s special rate promotion will be a good opportunity for those to lessen burdens from housing purchase expense.”

‘Citi Mixed Rate Mortgage’ provides tenors from 10 years to 30 years, and fixed rates will apply for the first 3 and 5 years while floating rates will apply afterwards until maturity.

In addition, CKI also offers special interest rate discount of annual 0.1% with Jeonse loans for newly married couples.

Interest rates of CKI Jeonse loan vary from minimum 3.81% to maximum 4.61% per year as of May 1 (in case of a 6 month variable new COFIX linked product.)

Couples who married within 6 months before loan application or are scheduled to marry within the following 6 months need to submit a family relationship certificate or contract with a wedding hall (or wedding invitation) to become eligible for preferential rates.
