MEDIANA Donates Educational Equipment and Money to Korean Red Cross
MEDIANA donated special funds as well as 50 automated external defibrillators.
The number of patients who die from sudden cardiac arrest is around 20,000. Sudden cardiac arrest can occur to anyone at any time, but it cannot be predicted. When it occurs, if early reponse of CPR and AED dreatment is not done within 4 to 6 minutes since the attack, the patient’s brain is damaged severly. If serious, it can lead to death.
MEDIANA’s main products are AEDs and patient monitors. MEDIANA’s main AED model HeartOn A10 is easy-to-use and is easy to be maintained. Not only does it offer simple voice guides, the design also includes icons by stage and LED lights that allow users who are unfamiliar with the system to give first aid. In emergency, quick defibrillation is enabled by attaching the pads on to the patient’s body and powering on the device.
MEDIANA is beyond a supplier and installer. It actively offers training to enable anyone to use CPR and AED treatment to save a patient’s life in emergency. With the donation of training equipment and AED, the company will contribute in fostering the public’s skills to do CPR and cope with emergency situations.
On this day, MEDIANA was given the ‘Badge of Honor for Red Cross Member Company’ by the Korean Red Cross.
