Bursa Malaysia Goes Live With Its New Trading Engine Powered by NASDAQ OMX

NEW YORK AND KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA--(Korea Newswire)--Bursa Malaysia (BURSA:MK) and NASDAQ OMX Group, Inc. (Nasdaq:NDAQ), today announced that Bursa Malaysia has gone live with their new trading engine, Bursa Trade Securities 2 (BTS2) powered by NASDAQ OMX's X-stream INET. The project was delivered ahead of schedule on 2 December 2013, well in advance of the initial target of the first quarter of 2014.

The new platform now handles trading of equities, fixed income, Exchange Traded Funds and issuer warrants for the Malaysian bourse. X-Stream INET's system robustness and speed is leveraged to drive exchange innovation for Bursa Malaysia as it attracts a variety of market participants and creates innovative products and services to match international demand.
