Samsung Seeks Stronger Partnership Through Developer Event at MWC 2014

- Upgraded SDK of 2014 for developing services and apps running on Samsung smart devices are to be introduced at the Samsung Developer Day.

서울--(Korea Newswire)--Samsung Electronics has announced it will host a developer event at the Mobile World Congress (MWC), the world’s largest exhibition for the mobile industry to be held from Feb 24 to 27 in Barcelona, Spain.

The event is going to be held at App Planet, exhibition space for people engaged in app business, of MWC venue. At the Samsung Developer Day, which has taken place annually since 2011 at the MWC, Samsung’s latest Software Development Kit(SDK) will be introduced and exhibition booths for applications developed with SDK by Samsung’s partners will be set up specifically for the event for the first time.

On Feb 26, the third day of the MWC, the Samsung Developer Day 2014 will introduce upgraded Samsung Mobile SDK, Samsung MultiScreen SDK, and Samsung MultiScreen Gaming Platform.

It will also feature a variety of programs for developers including an award ceremony for the Samsung Smart App Challenge for Galaxy S4, an app development contest held successfully in 2013 and a presentation by the CEO of VisionMobile on the latest mobile app development trends for 2014, based on the largest ever survey of more than 7,000 mobile developers.

The new application booths to be set up at Hall 8.1 of the MWC exhibition section will be open for four days from Feb 24 to 27. Along with applications developed with Samsung’s technologies by its partners, latest SDK and new services, it will be demonstrated example of smart mobile life to customers. And applications won at Samsung Smart App Challenge will be displayed.

The exhibition booths of Samsung app developers are open to all MWC visitors while the Samsung Developer Day, limited to invited partners in principle, could be open to MWC visitors depending on the situation at the event.
