Seoul--(뉴스와이어)--The KDI School of Public Policy and Management is hosting the “2005 MFDI Field Research and Study” to offer their MFDI (Master’s in Foreign Direct Investment) students greater experiences in foreign cultures. The trip is scheduled from Sep. 8 to Sep. 11, 2005.

In 2004, the KDI School of Public Policy and Management was specially selected by the Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Energy to be the Graduate School that offers training in foreign direct investment. The MFDI Program is an advanced degree program centered on the theme of foreign direct investment. It aims to equip the next generation of professionals with the skills needed to intelligently create and respond to the many opportunities within the investment field.

On the first day, 31 participants will visit KOTRA Shanghai (KOTRA’s China Head Office), and the Shanghai Foreign Investment Service Center (SFISC) to attend special lectures. They are entitled, “China After 10 Years”, and “China’s Strategy for Foreign Direct Investment”.

On the next day, Prof. Xiyou will give a lecture on “FDI Trends after China’s WTO Ascension, Implications for Korean Firms” at Fudan University. After that, students will have an informal gathering to speak with local Korean entrepreneurs in the Shanghai Pudong New Area International Exchange Center.

On the third and forth day, students will go to Suzhou and Yuyuan Garden to experience beauty of Chinese culture.

The KDI School hopes that the MFDI students will keep abreast of the latest FDI trends and improve their executive abilities by this research and study session.
