R&P (Pte) Ltd Licenses Specialty PP Compounds (TPO) Technology From ExxonMobil Chemical To Serve Asia-Pacific’s Automotive Sector
The License grants to R&P the right to use the formulations, product designs and previous product codes created under Exxtral™ grades that were developed and/ or manufactured at R&P, which offers a comprehensive range of TPOs for bumper, interior, exterior and underhood applications. EMC has further agreed to supply PP to R&P.
With the strong foundation built over our last six years of toll compounding working hand-in-hand with EMC for Exxtral™ grades, R&P’s primary goal now is to provide continuity in TPO supply to all existing automotive customers in the Asia-Pacific region who have been strong supporters of Exxtral™ grades. At the same time, with the burgeoning growth in Asia-Pacific’s automotive markets, the TPO compounds business will provide extended growth opportunities to R&P working hand in hand with customers on new products development.
