Toshiba Starts Mass Production of 5-Volt Constant Voltage Regulator ICs for Automotive Applications

TOKYO--(Business Wire / Korea Newswire)--Toshiba Corporation (http://goo.gl/UDmjza)'s (TOKYO:6502) Semiconductor & Storage Products Company today announced the start of mass production of “TB9005FNG” and “TB9021FNG”, 5-volt constant voltage regulators for application in automotive systems.

“TB9005FNG” supports 1A or higher output current in combination with external power transistors, allowing use in automotive applications that require high output current. “TB9021FNG” includes an output transistor and supports 0.2A output current and contributes to a reduction of external ICs and system simplification. Both ICs also incorporate system reset functions for reset of microcontrollers off, which contributes to improved safety for automotive systems.

· Fabricated with low power consumption, fine pitch BiCD process.
· Incorporate system reset functions for reset of microcontrollers when an abnormal state is detected.
· “TB9021FNG” realizes a low stand-by current of 30µA (Typ.).
· “TB9021FNG” output reset when clock signals are abnormally very fast.
