ARLINGTON, VA.--(Business Wire / Korea Newswire)--CES AsiaTM today announced that the United States Department of Commerce (USDOC) granted CES Asia 2017 an “Official Trade Event” Certification for the second year in a row. This certification provides CES Asia with a myriad of benefits designed to support the show and encourage participation by U.S. companies, while strengthening trade relations between the U.S. and China. Owned and produced by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA)TM and co-produced by Shanghai Intex, the third annual CES Asia 2017 will take place June 7-9 in Shanghai, China.

“Our recertification by USDOC is a great endorsement for CES Asia and a tribute to the quality and success of our show,” said Gary Shapiro, president and CEO, CTA. “USDOC’s partnership has been invaluable to the growth of CES Asia and supports our shared goal of facilitating the creation of cross-market partnerships.”

USDOC’s Trade Fair Certification program is designed to increase U.S. exports and involvement of U.S. companies in international tradeshows by creating partnerships between private sector show organizers and the U.S. government. The program provides various benefits including a USDOC endorsement, show-related services, oversight and coordination of event logistics, promotional support, exhibitor marketing facilitation and in-country/show site assistance.

“CES Asia serves as a vital access vehicle for U.S. companies to enter and expand into the Asian market,” said Ken Hyatt, Acting Under Secretary of Commerce for International Trade. “We are pleased to provide our certification once more to this show that represents a great opportunity for U.S. firms to enter and thrive in Asia, a rapidly growing market. We look forward to another successful collaboration.”
