Seoul--(뉴스와이어)--Vice Science and Technology Minister Choi Seok-sik will lead a Korean delegation to the Korean-Chinese Joint Committee on Nuclear Energy scheduled for Oct. 12-14 in Shanghai.

The joint committee meeting, the sixth since 2000, will discuss five areas of atomic power generation; atomic R&D, management of nuclear fuel and waste, nuclear energy safety, radiology and radioactive isotope.

The Korean delegation and its Chinese counterpart, headed by Sun Qin, chairman of the China Atomic Energy Authority (CAEA), will also handle such cooperative matters as the construction of nuclear power plants in China, technical cooperation in hydrogen manufacture using atomic energy as well as exchange in atomic energy personnel.
