Curated listings ship directly from Korea as Bunjang’s cross-border sales to Singapore grow 43% year-on-year in H1 2026

SINGAPORE--(Korea Newswire)--Bunjang, the Korean resale marketplace with more than 10 million monthly users, has launched Carousell Global X Bunjang, an Official Store on Carousell Singapore. This marks Carousell’s first Global Store from Korea - Carousell being the leading multi-category classifieds marketplace across Southeast Asia, Hong Kong and Taiwan - on its Global Store line. The store gives international buyers a seamless, dedicated gateway into Korea’s recommerce market, beginning in Singapore with three of Bunjang Global’s top-performing categories: K-pop merchandise, kidult figures and collectibles, and fashion.

The launch lands as demand from Singapore accelerates: Singapore is already Bunjang Global’s top-performing market in Southeast Asia and its fourth-largest market worldwide in 2026. Cross-border GMV (gross merchandise value) to Singapore rose 43% year-on-year in the first half of the year, with transaction volume up 53%. K-pop merchandise is the main growth engine, accounting for 49.5% of GMV and 62.3% of orders, while kidult items and men’s apparel also rank among the top five categories — a mix that, according to Carousell, closely mirrors demand on its own platform, where toys, collectibles, and hobbies and fashion are among the most popular categories.

The store carries Carousell’s “Official Store” badge, setting it apart from standard merchant listings and giving buyers a clear, recognizable way to shop Bunjang listings on a platform they already know and trust. For categories like K-pop merchandise and collectibles, where provenance and condition matter as much as price, that visibility gives buyers added confidence in what they’re buying.

For buyers, the store is designed to take the guesswork out of shopping from Korea. Items are priced in Singapore Dollars, with shipping and payment fees already built into the listed price, making it easy to compare and transact across listings. Items are shipped from Korea after inspection and consolidation, and buyers can check out using local payment methods such as PayNow, DBS PayLah!, and Singapore-issued credit and debit cards. The store launches with a curated selection across three of Bunjang Global’s top-performing categories — K-pop merchandise, kidult figures and collectibles, and fashion — updated continuously as sellers list new items.

“Singaporeans are some of the most recommerce-savvy buyers we serve. They’re comfortable shopping secondhand, they know exactly what they’re looking for, and they judge a purchase on authenticity, condition and fair value, not just price,” said Jaewha Choi, CEO of Bunjang. “An Official Store on Carousell, where so many Singaporeans already buy and sell secondhand, is the natural next step in giving them trusted access to Korea’s recommerce market, from rare photocards to limited-edition figures.”

“Trust is at the heart of every purchase decision on Carousell, especially when our community is looking beyond their borders for products they can’t find at home,” said Vishal Salunkhe, Chief Business Officer at Carousell Group. “Bunjang’s scale and expertise in Korea’s recommerce market make them a strong partner for our Global Store line. By bringing their curated listings directly onto Carousell under our Official Store badge, we’re excited to give our Singapore community first access to this new way of shopping in Korea’s recommerce market.”

The launch builds on a major upgrade to Bunjang Global, the company’s own international marketplace, which connects Korean sellers with buyers in more than 230 countries. Shaped by input from more than 1,000 users and announced in August this year, the upgrade gives overseas buyers a choice of three shipping partners, real-time tracking from seller to final destination, and lower costs. Apple Pay and Google Pay are now available alongside existing options, including credit cards, PayPal, Alipay and WeChat Pay, making it simpler than ever to shop from Korea.

Together, the two moves reflect Bunjang’s approach to reaching international buyers: removing friction for those who shop on Bunjang Global directly, while meeting others on the marketplaces they already use.
