President Roh holds a summit with PM Hun Sen of Cambodia
At the meeting, the two leaders gave a high evaluation to the progress made in the bilateral relations after their governments normalized diplomatic ties in 1997. They exchanged views on ways to step up substantive cooperation in various areas, including the economy, trade, the development collaboration as well as cultural and consular affairs.
Shortly after the summit, President Roh and Prime Minister Hun Sen attended the signing ceremony for the Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Labor of the Republic of Korea and the Ministry of Labor and Vocational Training of the Royal Government of Cambodia on the Sending of Workers to the Republic of Korea under the Employment Permit System; the Arrangement for Provincial Administration Information System and National Information Infrastructure Project; and the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Korea and the Government of the Kingdom of Cambodia on Visa Exemption for Diplomatic and Official/Service Passport Holders.
After the ceremony, the President headed for the National Information Communication Development Authority where he was guided around the site of an administrative information network project with Prime Minister Hun Sen.
