Seoul--(뉴스와이어)--Prime Minister Wen Jiabao of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China is scheduled to make an official visit to Korea from April 10 to 11 at the invitation of President Roh Moo-hyun.

During his visit, Prime Minister Wen and President Roh are expected to have extensive discussions on matters of mutual interest, including the development of Korea-China relations, peaceful resolution of the North Korean nuclear problem and recent developments in Northeast Asia as well as regional cooperation and collaboration in the international arena.

The Chinese leader is also scheduled to meet his Korean counterpart as well as the Speaker of the National Assembly and political party leaders. He will attend the opening ceremony of the 2007 Korea-China Exchange Year. Exchange-year programs will be carried out throughout the year in both countries. He is to meet young leaders from both countries as well.

Prime Minister Wen visit is in celebration of the 15th anniversary of bilateral diplomatic ties. The visit will serve as a milestone in further developing the comprehensive bilateral cooperative partnership that the presidents of the two countries established at a summit in July 2003.
