Seoul--(뉴스와이어)--Upon being informed later today that the tragic shooting that took place at Virginia Tech on April 16 (EST) was perpetrated by a Korean permanent resident in the United States, President Roh Moo-hyun stated for the second time during the day that he was shocked beyond description by the enormity of the incident. Following up on his earlier conveyance of condolences, he again expressed, on behalf of all Korean people, the most profound sorrow and offered words of comfort to the bereaved families, President George W. Bush and all Americans.

At the same time, President Roh expressed his earnest wish that the enormously saddened Korean American community, along with all American citizens, would be able to wisely cope with the staggering trauma.
