President sends condolences to Yeltsin’s family
In the message, President Roh said that the former Russian President had made a great contribution to peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula and in Northeast Asia as well as to world peace. Importantly, the Korean President noted that it would be long remembered that President Yeltsin laid a solid foundation for Korea and Russia to forge amicable and cooperative ties.
Former Prime Minister Han Myeong-suk will represent the Korean Government at the funeral service to be held on April 25.
