Guest Chef, Pilar Rodriguez Presents the Flavors of Chile

Seoul--(뉴스와이어)--Table 34, located on the 34th floor of the Grand InterContinental Seoul, from March 31 until April 5 will host Chef Pilar Rodriguez from Chile. Based on a foundation of traditional French techniques, her food reflects a philosophy of flexibility balance and harmony of flavors and textures. However, what distinguishes Pilar’s unique approach is that she designs each dish in her menus for a specific wine.

For more than 15 years, Ms Rodriguez - a designer by profession - was Tommy Hilfiger USA’s Director of Marketing for Latin America and the Caribbean. Taking advantage of her unique marketing skills, she is today focused on “selling” Chile to the world. She has presented the “Week of Chile,” in collaboration with economic office at the Chilean embassy in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She was named “Chef of the Year” by “Placeres” Magazine and was hired by the Chilean government to represent “Flavors of Chile” in US and Canada.

Her menu for Table 34 consists of spiced baby pork ribs over caramelized onions, grilled beef reef eye with tomatoes and flank steak marinated in red wine and rosemary. Chilean salad using crab casserole or marinated lamb chops with roasted baby vegetables is one of Ms Rodriguez’s highlights. The price for lunch is from 40,000 won to 55,000 won.
