Flash from the Past! Hunter’s Tavern Reopens

Seoul--(뉴스와이어)--On July 1 Hanmoo Development Co. Ltd., owners of the Grand InterContinental Seoul and the COEX InterContinental Seoul made headlines again with the opening of the live music pub Hunter’s Tavern in the GS Tower (Yeoksam subway station). Originally located in the Grand InterContinental Seoul, this British-style bar was a favorite for 18 years until it closed in 2007. According to new manager Noh Sung-mo, “Newly reopened Hunter’s Tavern is serving draft beer and unlimited snacks for only 20,000 won from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. We’re already seeing an avalanche of reservation requests from businesses in the area which see the Hunter’s Tavern as being the ideal place for an office night out and other gatherings.”

Hunter’s Tavern Happy Hour and Snacks

The Hunter’s Tavern snack buffet features more than 20 different kinds of snacks from made-to-order Mongolian BBQ and Vietnamese-style noodles to Chinese specialties and BBQ chicken wings. There are also three different types of German-style sausages supplied directly by the hotels, seafood spaghetti, and fresh salad·all available on an all you can eat basis. If you would like to order additional menu items there are 25 menu items available for selection including garlic flavored shrimp, smoked duck vegetable and braised three kind of seafood, fried crispy. At Hunter’s Tavern the draft beer served is always fresh daily, making for an unbelievably delicious dining experience.

Hunter’s Tavern Interior and Live Music

With the know-how acquired from operations in the hotel, this reopened Hunter’s Tavern seats 230 guests in a 500 square meter space. Situated directly in the center of the pub, its stage is home to a band that performs from 6:40 p.m. for four 40 minute sets. The bar serves a wide variety of cocktails, beer, wine and non-alcoholic drinks.

Exciting Events with Hotel Prizes

From July 21, Hunter’s Tavern will be open at lunch. For a mere 10,000 won enjoy our luncheon buffet featuring over two dozen Korean and Chinese menu selections. Coffee and refreshments are included in the price, making this the perfect choice for nearby office workers. Lunch starts at 11:30 and finishes at 2:30. Further, every Saturday from July 26 sign-ups are accepted for those who wish to sing on our stage accompanied by live music from 8:00 to 9:00 p.m.. Those with outstanding vocal talents will be awarded a coupon for a free Happy Hour (4 persons) for that night. The monthly winner will receive a coupon for a free buffet meal (4 persons) at either the InterContinental Hotels Seoul. Finally, the quarterly winner will receive a coupon for free accommodations at the hotels. Manager Noh notes, “Normally these types of events would be difficult at the average pub, but we’re aggressively marketing our reopening. With a variety of different marketing approaches, including high quality food for the price and providing ‘fun’ for our customers we hope to make substantial inroads.”
