Savills Asia Pacific CEO Robert McKellar will be at the helm of Savills Korea as new president

Seoul--(뉴스와이어)--Savills Korea, a real estate consulting firm with its parent company based in London, has announced that Savills Asia Pacific CEO Robert McKellar will also assume the position of CEO for Savills Korea and will relocate to Seoul from July 1, 2009.

Mr. McKellar joined Savills in 1988, and since March 2005 when he was appointed as Savills Asia Pacific CEO, the business in Asia has grown rapidly in every sector of the Asian real estate markets. In 2008 the Asia business generated over US$300m in revenue, contributed profits

of US$ 23m, and now employs over 15,500 staff throughout Asia Pacific.

To keep pace with this expansion Savills has re-organized and increased its management team in the region, and delegated responsibilities for businesses in China and SE Asia to several core individuals reporting to Robert McKellar. Consequently, he will be able to focus more on NE Asia Asia, i.e. Korea and Japan, with specific emphasis on Korea.

Mr. McKellar comments, ‘I am excited about my move to Seoul. It is a truly global city that sits at the heart of the four largest real estate markets in Asia today – Tokyo, Shanghai, Beijing and Seoul itself. I believe my move to Seoul will further help our rapid expansion into the Korean property markets, to the benefit of international and Korean clients alike.

I also personally enjoy being in Seoul and look forward to spending more time in the city and working closely with my Korean colleagues and clients.’

Hokyu Lee, the current CEO of Savills Korea, is now appointed as Chairman for Savills Korea, and will utilize his extensive experience and network he has established over the past 20 years to continue to promote Savills business interests in Korea. He will also be responsible for introducing new clients and look to assist in the expansion of the range of property services Savills will offer the market.
