KHRDI ran a international training program, Communicable Disease Control for Iraq with KOICA
19 Ministry of Health officials who are in charge of communicable disease control and primary health care participated in the training program aiming to establish healthcare policies by learning about successful Korean health care policies and programs and developing action plans through 5 times workshops.
The training course also included study visits to KCDC, KNIH, Seoul National University Hospital, Public health center and Public health subcenter, field trip to Saemangeum reclaimed land, Naganeupsung Folk Village, Gwangyang POSCO, Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering, Green Growth Hall and home visiting program.
“Korea is a well-organized, developed and beautiful country. Korean culture and tourist attractions are attractive. Especially, Korean are very kind. KHRDI has systematic training programs and helped us share thoughts and experience Korean health care system. We will do our best to apply what we learned here to control communicable diseases in Iraq” said the representative of trainees, Dr. Shakir Moshin from the Ministry of Health.
“ KHRDI not only plays a major role to foster personnel in health and welfare but also to communicate between countries. Workshops were meaningful because they provided a chance to deal with practical issues about communicable diseases and solutions. I strongly recommend this course to my colleagues in Iraq.” also said a participant Dr.Malalla Muzahim.
