Russell Asia Pacific Index: Growth Stocks Outperform Value Stocks Year-to-Date

타코마 워싱턴주--(뉴스와이어)--Data from Russell Indexes shows that growth stocks in Asia continue to outperform value stocks.

Growth stocks are usually companies with earnings which are expected to grow at above average rates. Value stocks tend to trade at a lower price relative to fundamentals, including earnings.

The Russell Asia Pacific Growth Index has outperformed the Russell Asia Pacific Value Index for the current quarter-to-date August 16, 2010 (Growth: 5.86%, Value: 4.75%) and the year-to-date August 16, 2010 (Growth: 1.53%, Value: 0.27%).

The Russell Asia Pacific Index has reflected a 5.3% return for the third quarter-to-date. However, year-to-date, the region has posted a nominal return of 0.85%.
