Nu-Wave Optima enables customers to future-proof their optical infrastructure. With Xtera‘s implementation of 100G-ready All-Raman and hybrid EDFA/Raman amplification on the Nu-Wave Optima, service providers and enterprises can maximize the capacity of their existing fiber plant without costly re-engineering or complex infrastructure upgrades. As bandwidth requirements continue to increase, Xtera’s unique All-Raman amplification can increase capacity up to 15 Terabits per second (150 channels of 100 Gbits/s). Fully-tunable XFP-based universal 10G muxponders supporting applications and services such as Ethernet, SONET/SDH, SAN, and video deliver the scalability and flexibility that service providers and enterprises need to quickly deploy the revenue generating services required by their customers.
