Russell BRIC Index Shows Large Shifts in Country Weights

타코마 워싱턴주--(뉴스와이어)--Stocks in China represent35.1% of the market capitalization weight of the Russell BRIC Indexas of September 21, 2010, more than double their weighting a decadeago. Stocks in Russia also have increased in terms of weighting inthe index over the past decade, rising to 14.1% of the index weightas of September 21, 2010, from less than 1% a decade ago.

The other two countries represented in the Russell BRIC Index (anacronym to represent Brazil, Russia, India and China), Brazil andIndia, show decreases in market capitalization weight in the indexover the past decade. The weighting of Brazil has declined about 19percentage points and the weighting of India has declined about 13percentage points.
