Russell Brazil Index: Brazil Outperforms Among BRIC Countries Since 2000

SEATTLE, WA--(뉴스와이어)--The Russell Brazil Index outperformed other countries represented in the Russell BRIC Index (Brazil, Russia, India and China) since the beginning of January 2000, reflecting a 580% gain through February 14, 2011. During the same period, the Russell BRIC Index gained about 200%.

As an example of this return differential, if one U.S. dollar had been invested indirectly in each of the BRIC countries as represented by Russell indexes in January 2000, Brazil and China would have offered the highest return as of February 14, 2011, with values of $6.83 and $3.88, respectively, followed by India at $3.82 and Russia at $3.13.
