Russell Greater China Index Outgains Global Index MTD Through April 18

SEATTLE, WA--(Korea Newswire)--The Russell Greater China Index, which consists of Taiwan, Hong Kong and China, reflected a gain of 2.3% year-to-date as the index outperformed the Russell Emerging Markets Index(1.3%) and the Russell Asia Pacific Index(-0.4%) through April 18, 2011. All three indexes, though, underperformed the Russell Global Index, which includes approximately 10,000 securities in 48 countries and covers 98% of the investable global market, reflected a return of 3.5% for the same time period.

However, for the month of April, the Russell Greater China Index has posted a gain of 2.4%, while the Russell Global Index and Russell Emerging Markets Index both reflect losses for the month of 1.1% and 0.1% respectively.
