Russell Asia ex-Japan Index: Top 10 & Bottom 10 Performing Stocks YTD Through June 6

SEATTLE, WA--(Korea Newswire)--The Russell Asia ex-Japan Index reflected a return of 4.8% year-to-date through June 6, 2011, with five Korean stocks ranking among the top 10 in terms of performance for the period. The five Korean stocks are in either the materials & processing or consumer discretionary sector.

Korea Kumho Petrochemical in the materials & processing sector outperformed all other stocks in the Russell Asia ex-Japan Index with a year-to-date gain of 188.5% through June 6, 2011. It was followed by a stock in Taiwan, Senao International in the technology sector, which gained 138%, and two more Korean stocks: Nexen Tire (128%), and Foosung (120.7%).

Six of the bottom 10 stocks in terms of year-to-date total return through June 6 are based in China.
