(Cortina®, https://www.cortina-systems.com/index.php), delivering innovative technologies that link people and networks worldwide, today announced that the Cortina CS75xx, an ultra high performance multi-services gateway platform with its dedicated enterprise-class security engine, is the centerpiece technology in Buffalo‘s VPN Router VR-S1000. The CS75xx’s dedicated security engine enables the Buffalo VPN Router family to deliver highly secure, high-performance, reliable connectivity to the Internet, or other SOHO/SMB offices, through the core of customers‘ small business network. In conjunction with the security engine, the CS75xx’s forward-thinking architecture integrates a packet engine that further offloads the dual ARM Cortex A9 CPU from intensive packet and protocol processing to enable Buffalo's VPN routers with simultaneous high performance Wi-Fi connectivity as well as secured remote access NAS applications.
