PyeongChang Going All Out To Be Selected as 2014 Candidate City

PyeongChang--(뉴스와이어)--PyeongChang is anticipating the announcement of the 2014 Candidate Cites by the IOC after committing unsparing efforts to be successful in its bid for the 2014 Olympics.

PyeongChang 2014 Bid Committee Chairman Seung-soo HAN said, “PyeongChang’s capability has been proved and verified during the bid for the 2010 Olympics. We did best to answer the IOC Questionnaire with help from experts in various fields, and offered the best possible dossier to the IOC. We expect the IOC to deliver us good news on 22nd June and also will respect the decision by the IOC.”

Gangwon Provincial Governor Jin-sun KIM, Executive President of the bid committee said, “We have been carrying forward not only with all of plans for improving our infrastructure including venue facilities and the transportation network, but also with our projects to promote winter sports including the Dream Program, one of our commitments to the IOC. PyeongChang is devotedly working on every aspect of preparation based on the unwavering support of all Koreans.”

Describing PyeongChang’s high ambitions Gov. Kim continued, “We will do our best to be selected as the Host City of 2014 Olympics, and will take the lead in promoting winter sports around the world as well as spreading the Olympic Movement if PyeongChang is honored as a Candidate City.”

Bid Chairman Seung-soo HAN and a Director General for International Relations Gang-ro YOON (Rocky YOON) will represent PyeongChang 2014 at the announcement of 2014 Candidate Cities in the IOC headquarter in Lausanne, Switzerland.

The Executive Board reportedly makes a decision based on the report compiled by the IOC working group that analyzed key aspects of the seven Applicant Cities for 2014 Olympics.
