Korean TV Broadcaster to Beam Prime-Time News Program from PyeongChang Slopes
The state-run Korean Broadcasting System will air the 9 p.m. news from the slopes of Gangwon Province’s Yongpyong Resort, which is to serve as the main venue for the 2014 PyeongChang Winter Olympics.
PyeongChang 2014 is told the broadcaster will report on a wide range of activities and projects related to the Winter Olympic bid, including noteworthy international sports trends, the status of competing Candidate Cities, and the widespread enthusiasm for the PyeongChang campaign.
Gangwon Governor Jin-sun KIM, who is the PyeongChang 2014 executive president, will appear on the news program, at which time he will encourage Korean citizens from all corners of the country to get involved in the campaign to host the 2014 Winter Games.
“Hosting the 2014 Winter Olympic Games is the desire of all Koreans,” Gov. KIM said, “and PyeongChang is more than capable of delivering a successful Olympic Games that will realize the highest ideals of the Olympic Movement.”
