Seoul--(뉴스와이어)--The South and the North held the 1st meeting of the Subcommittee for Cooperation on Inter-Korean Roads from February 12 through 13 in Gaeseong.

The South and the North shared the view that they should actively pursue repairs of roads between Gaeseong and Pyongyang in order to promote mutual benefit and co-prosperity of the Korean nation and the joint use of the roads.

The South and the North have discussed such working-level issues as the adoption of reports on the result of joint on-site surveys conducted twice for road repairs, the design drawing, the scope and ways of construction, the joint use as well as the necessity of in-depth assessment.

The South and the North have agreed to hold the 2nd meeting of the Subcommittee for Cooperation on Inter-Korean Roads at an early date.
