Unification Ministry holds signboard-hanging ceremony

Seoul--(뉴스와이어)--The Unification Ministry held a signboard-hanging ceremony on June 10, attended by senior unification officials including Minister Kim Ha-joong and former MOU officials including former Vice Minister and current president of the Association of Retired Unification Ministry Officials Song Han-ho and former Vice Minister Cho Geon-sik.

Minister Kim said, "While inter-Korean relations are currently going through a somewhat difficult time, the Unification Ministry, however, has declared a historical mission to advance mutually-beneficial and co-prosperous inter-Korean relations with the inauguration of the Lee Myung-bak administration," adding that "We will take this opportunity to renew our resolves and make utmost efforts to accomplish our historical mission."

The signboard is made of a copperplate with the size of 79㎝ in width and 55㎝ in length and was inscribed with the handwriting of Lee Dong-heung, the head of Hagjeong Calligraphy Institute.
