Seoul--(뉴스와이어)--GM Daewoo Auto & Technology (GM Daewoo) will hold the ‘2009 New Ways, Always Camp,’ which provides university students an opportunity for an onsite visit of its Bupyeong headquarters and Chungla Proving Ground Test-Driving Grounds at the Incheon Free Economic Zone

‘New Ways, Always Camp’ was first held in 2006 to help university students set their values for future careers and provided onsite experiences and meeting opportunities with GM Daewoo employees. From 2006 to last year, a total of 1,560 university students from 39 nationwide universities have participated.

Especially, 40 university students involved with the university’s newspaper & broadcast will participate in the camp, in which they will observe auto research facilities and production progress as well as test-drive vehicles at the performance test-driving grounds. Also, the students will experience the course of vehicle production through the Simulated Working Environment as well as speak to employees to find examples of auto engineering theories being practiced at the worksite, increase understanding of auto companies and receive advice regarding future career opportunities.

Accordingly, Yu Ki-joon, GM Daewoo President of Vehicle Engineering attended the welcoming ceremony at GM Daewoo’s Chungla Proving Ground on the 17th and held a presentation and encouraged the participating students.

President Yu stated, “The most important aspect for auto industry’s development and future is competitive product development. GM Daewoo, with its slogan ‘New Ways, Always,’ will continue in finding new ideas and make the most effort to apply these ideas for a bright future,” encouraging the students of their dreams and passion.

A total of 6 ‘New Ways, Always’ Camps are expected to be held until November of this year.
