NEW YORK--(뉴스와이어)--The Charlotte Bobcats’ Stephen Jackson and the Denver Nuggets’ Carmelo Anthony today were named the Eastern and Western Conference Players of the Week, respectively, for games played Jan. 11-17.

Jackson was second in the Eastern Conference in scoring with 29.3 points per game and tied for the league lead in steals (3.3 spg; Tyrus Thomas) and was among the conference leaders in three-point field goal percentage (.529). He led the Bobcats to an unbeaten week with three wins over Western Conference contenders (Houston, San Antonio and Phoenix).

Anthony propelled the Nuggets to three wins for the week by averaging 29.3 points, third in the Western Conference, 5.7 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 2.0 steals. Against Utah, Anthony scored 37 points while pulling down eight rebounds. He went 23-for-24 (.958) from the free throw line for the week.

Jan. 13 vs Orlando: Totaled 27 points, seven rebounds, five assists, two steals and a block in a 115-97 win over the Magic.
Jan. 17 vs Utah: Poured in 37 points, collected eight rebounds, picked up three steals and handed out two assists.
