GMIO President Tim Lee Named Chairman of GM Daewoo Board of Directors
Lee succeeds Nick Reilly, who was named CEO of Adam Opel GmbH on January 15, 2010.

Lee was appointed President, GM international Operations on December 4, 2009 and oversees GM operations in more than 80 countries in Asia, Latin America and the Middle East. Prior to this position, Lee served as GM Group Vice President of Global Manufacturing and Labor Relations. Lee joined General Motors in 1969.
“I am very pleased to accept this responsibility as the head of the GM Daewoo Board of Directors,” said Lee. “GM Daewoo’s product lineup and manufacturing capability are integral to the success of GM worldwide. I look forward to addressing the Board’s tasks quickly with the cooperation of our partners.”
During his first visit to GM Daewoo, which began on Wednesday, Lee participated in a variety of meetings with executives and employees, reviewing the current business and future product plans of GM Daewoo. Lee also met company stakeholders, sharing his strong belief that with GM Daewoo’s return to a strong liquidity position, 2010 will be a successful year for the company.
GM Daewoo Auto & Technology was established on October 17, 2002. It has five manufacturing facilities in Korea as well as an assembly facility in Vietnam. In addition, GM Daewoo provides market and brand-specific vehicle kits for assembly at GM facilities in China, Thailand, India, Colombia and Venezuela. In 2009, GM Daewoo sold in Korea and exported more than 1.5 million units, including CKD products. GM Daewoo now produces vehicles and kits that are offered in more than 150 markets on six continents.
