SEOUL--(Korea Newswire)--GM Korea Company President and CEO Mike Arcamone joined 200 employees today for the opening of the automaker’s upgraded company information center at its Bupyeong headquarters in Incheon.

After three months of remodeling, the company information center now includes a Chevrolet timeline zone, which shows the brand’s 100 years of history; an advanced technology zone, which displays GM Korea’s technology; a car accessory zone; and a social contribution zone.

GM Korea replaced the infrequently used VIP visitor restaurant with a space to support employees’ work and recreational activities. Employees can receive career counseling at the new ‘Career Development Center’, an array of services at the ‘IT Service Center’ and refreshments in a recreational space.

The remodeling of the company information center is part of Arcamone’s communicative management. He has actively sought the feedback of employees through diverse internal online communication channels such as webchats and the “Ask the CEO” intranet site, as well as through semiannual employee updates at the automaker’s Bupyeong, Gunsan, Changwon and Boryeong plants.

“Similar to last year, when we expanded the workspace for our employees by reducing the size of executives’ offices to improve working conditions for our regular employees, the voices of employees were reflected in the remodeling of the company information center,” said Arcamone. “We will continue to attentively listen to our employees’ candid opinions in order to make working at GM Korea an even more enjoyable experience.”

Arcamone has constantly carried out communicative management as he provided updates on business conditions to the employees as he tours the automaker’s Bupyeong, Gunsan, Changwon and Boryeong plants semiannually.
