SEOUL--(Korea Newswire)--GM Korea Company President and CEO Sergio Rocha is carrying out communicative management, sharing the company’s objectives and key agenda with employees.

Rocha, who met with employees during last month’s GM Korea Family Day event, shared key business agenda today during an all-employee meeting at the automaker’s Bupyeong operations in Incheon. He earlier had meetings with employees at GM Korea’s Boryeong, Gunsan and Changwon plants.

In his first All Emlpoyee Meetings in Bupyeong, he introduced his leadership style, which values flexible and open communication and the respect of cultural diversity. He shared with employees on the company’s business situation and plans for the future, stressing the importance of building trust among shareholders. He emphasized the importance of focusing on the customer, securing top quality by practicing the slogan of “Quality Sells Products”.

“Employees who are on the same bus with me are heading toward the same destination. They are our top priority along with our customers. GM Korea will grow together with our customers and employees, listening to their voices and learning from them,” said Rocha.

“We will create a virtuous circle where we can improve our profit based on investment in our employees. This, in turn, will enable us to reinvest in vehicle development and production, which will result in GM Korea’s sustained growth,” he said. “To that end, all employees, including me, need to have a commitment to designing, building and selling the world’s best vehicles.”

Rocha is planning to accelerate his communicative management by hosting web chats, sending messages to employees and visiting the company’s local operations.

During the meeting, Mr. Kwangjik Lee, the Alpheon customer who saved his life from a serious car accident on a highway in April due to Alpheon’s excellent safety had a chance to share the story with his opinion directly with employees. He had a plant tour and delivered his deep gratitude to all employees for the safety of Alpheon. He also encouraged all employees to continue focusing on the vehicle safety and quality.
