Seoul--(뉴스와이어)--Huh Joon-young, commissioner general of the Korean National Policy Agency (KNPA), participated in the 74th Interpol General Assembly held in Berlin, Germany, on Sept. 19-22.

Huh met with Ronald K. Noble, Interpol secretary general, and discussed ways to prevent international terrorism for a successful APEC summit slated for November in Busan, South Korea.

Noble said Interpol will provide South Korea with its databases, such as the DNA of suspicious individuals and stolen travel documents, while suggesting the dispatch of Interpol members to Busan during the APEC meeting if South Korea requests it.

Huh delivered a keynote speech on the countermeasures of the KNPA against cyber crimes at a commissioners’ panel.

The general assembly, comprising of delegates appointed by the governments of 184 member states on five continents, convenes once a year and makes all major decisions affecting general policy, information for international cooperation, working methods, finances and programs of activities.
